Direct Relief has been in contact with its partner Sea Mar Community Health Centers to assess health needs at their sites located near the recent landslide in Oso, Washington.
At this point, no requests for medical assistance have been received, however Sea Mar staff are aware that Direct Relief has emergency supplies available should the situation change.
As of Thursday, the death toll had risen to 17 and an additional 90 people are still reported missing, according to The Washington Post.
