Direct Relief’s strong financial health and commitment to accountability and transparency have earned it a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator. This is the eighth consecutive time that Direct Relief has earned this top distinction.
“Only 3% of the charities we evaluate have received at least eight consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that Direct Relief outperforms most other charities in America,” said Michael Thatcher, President & CEO of Charity Navigator. “This exceptional designation from Charity Navigator sets Direct Relief apart from its peers and demonstrates to the public its trustworthiness.”
Of the more than 8,000 charities rated by Charity Navigator, Direct Relief is one of only 69 to receive a perfect 100 score. These charities have earned perfect scores in Charity Navigator’s evaluation of Financial Health and Accountability & Transparency.
“Direct Relief receives no government funding, so private generosity fuels all the organization’s humanitarian work,” said Thomas Tighe, Direct Relief CEO. “This inspires a deep commitment to using all the resources that are contributed in the most productive, efficient way possible.”
