More Than 300 Shipments Depart Globally Over Past Week

Over the past seven days, Direct Relief has delivered 305 shipments of requested medical aid to 43 U.S. states and territories and 12 countries worldwide.

The shipments contained 1.6 million defined daily doses of medications, including rare disease therapies, cancer treatments, insulin, antibiotics, and other essential medications, as well as medical supplies for Covid-19 response efforts, including personal protective equipment.

In the U.S., Direct Relief delivered 294 shipments weighing 11,223 pounds and containing 153,186 doses of medications.

St. Vincent de Paul Charitable Pharmacy – Cincinnati, Ohio ($71.7K)

Bethesda Health Clinic – Tyler, Texas ($63.0K)
Ellis County Coalition for Health – Waxahachie, Texas ($54.1K)
Health Point Bryan/College Station – College Station, Texas ($50.8K)
Brother Bill’s Helping Hand Community Clinic – Dallas, Texas ($35.7K)
Hawaii H.O.M.E. Project – Honolulu, Hawaii ($30.0K)
Charis Health Center – Mount Juliet, Tennessee ($25.3K)

Globally, Direct Relief shipped more than 1.4 million defined daily doses of medication totaling 41,664 pounds.

Direct Relief donated 10,000 isolation gowns that Anera has distributed to American University of Beirut Medical Center, the Tripoli Hospital and the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon, providing the three medical centers with essential PPE. Since January 1, 2021, Direct Relief has delivered 5,395 shipments to 1,376 partner organizations in 51 U.S. states and territories and 61 countries.

These shipments contained 60.4 million defined daily doses of medication valued at $277.6 million (wholesale) and totaling 2.3 million lbs. (1,150 tons).
