Over the past seven days, Direct Relief has delivered 292 shipments of requested medical aid to 40 U.S. states and territories and eight countries worldwide.
The shipments contained 3.2 million defined daily doses of medication, including antibiotics, nutrition products, wound care supplies, vitamins, and more.
Cholera Response in Haiti
As Direct Relief continues to support Haiti during the recent cholera outbreak, cholera treatment kits have departed Direct Relief’s warehouse for distribution to hospitals and clinics treating patients.
The assembled aid contains critically needed items, including oral rehydration salts, PPE, antibiotics, IV fluids, and medication administration supplies.
Supporting Sri Lanka
This week, 86 pallets of emergency medical supplies arrived in Sri Lanka as requested by the country’s Ministry of Health and other local healthcare groups. The supplies will be distributed to hospitals and healthcare clinics around the region to support Sri Lanka’s healthcare system in response to the recent economic crisis.
Direct Relief works closely with Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Health, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Sri Lankan Embassy in the United States, the Medical Supply Division, and the National Medicines Regulatory Authority to deliver supplies and will continue to do so.
Material Support for Ukraine
Since Feb. 24, Direct Relief has provided medical aid to Ukraine weighing more than 2.1 million pounds, or 1,038 tons, with more on the way.
Over the past week, Direct Relief has provided critical emergency items to Ukraine, including cancer medications, emergency medical backpacks, IV fluids, PPE, and more.

Since Jan. 1, 2022, Direct Relief has delivered 18.9K shipments to 2,244 healthcare providers in 53 U.S. states and territories and 92 countries.
These shipments contained 542 million defined daily doses of medication valued at $1.8 billion (wholesale), totaling 10.9 million lbs.
