In Brief
Direct Relief committed an initial $200,000 in cash and made available its current inventory of more than $100 million in medications and other medical products in response to the unfolding emergency on the U.S. East Coast caused by Hurricane Florence.
Direct Relief has offered support to more than 200 healthcare partners that are currently in the storm’s projected path to coordinate potential relief efforts.
At the start of hurricane season, hurricane-specific medicines and supplies were also prepositioned in locations serving high-risk areas along the coast and can be opened by health centers should they be needed.
