National Association of Community Health Centers

Partnerships for Humanity

Direct Relief works with the National Association of Community Health Centers, which advocates on behalf of more than 1,400 community health centers across the United States. These centers serve as the primary medical home for 31.5 million people in more than 15,000 rural and urban communities throughout America.

Communities Centered Around Health

Direct Relief provides NACHC-affiliated health centers with essential medicines on an ongoing basis. The collaboration is also at the heart of several signature initiatives, including the Helping Build Health Communities program, sponsored by BD. The program provides award funding and products to community health centers working on innovative approaches for underserved patients.

Direct Relief and NACHC also collaborate on a joint editorial initiative around health reporting and community health centers. The initiative aims to highlight health centers and the challenges and opportunities they face as they care for patients in underserved areas. The content is syndicated across both organizations’ websites and is available to news outlets and other organizations for republication, free of charge.
