Takeda is a strategic partner of Direct Relief, and has donated more than 600,000 units of medicines, which have been distributed to more than sixty countries including the United States and in response to major emergencies around the world.
Key Initiatives
Ukraine
Takeda is a supporter of Direct Relief’s efforts to increase access to medicines in Ukraine via consistent produce to give program of drugs for diabetes, epilepsy, kidney disease, ulcerative colitis, IBS, and other chronic conditions.
Rare Disease
Takeda and Direct Relief collaborate on a charitable access program for rare disease patients with LSD (GD, FD, or MPSIII). The program provides lifelong access to therapies for over 300 patients in 17 countries, which was initially started in 2013 with Shire.
