Dobrobut has seen heavy demand for its free services from internally displaced persons, as well as from injured civilians and soldiers coming from the front lines. The frequent power outages that severely affect public health care facilities have also pushed more patients towards private facilities that are equipped with sufficient alternative power supply.
Direct Relief has provided $1.5 million in funding to Dobrobut, which has helped the medical organization to offer free medical services to more than 1,700 patients between April and November 2022, including people with war injuries and those needing highly specialized oncology, cardiovascular, surgical, and other procedures.
